Great hols in Malta & Far East in 2018 & Trisha's career with the UN

I will never forget the great holiday in Malta with the Baigrie sisters in the early 70s and the fun we had, despite being plagued by mosquitoes and the heat & although Trisha was not well on the Far East Cruise last year, it didn't stop her making the most of her time on board.

Her career with the UN was very varied, having worked in the Languages Service of Conference Services & the UN Disaster Relief Office & in latter years, the Information Service, where she had a fulfilling & satisfying job that she really enjoyed, organising & participating in various seminars for foreign students. She also undertook various missions, ie. the UN Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD) in Santiago de Chile & lengthy missions to Namibia & Cambodia covering elections.

Trisha & I met in Santiago & played squash together from time to time.  She often had me running round the court & always beat me hollow.  A champion bridge player in Geneva for many years, she was thrilled to have been selected to play against Omar Sharif.  Not forgetting too, the fun Halloween parties that she & Bernadette used to organise in Geneva.

I will always remember Trisha's laughter, her great sense of humour, enthusiasm & zest for life.  She will be very much missed.
